Raul Jiminez:
On a Footmercato report, Mourinho has been in contact with Jiminez's representatives about bringing the Mexican to North London. He offers a remarkable goalscoring threat, bagging 22 goals across all competitions this season, providing needed competitiveness to Harry Kane. Jose will want to have some more options upfront, as Spurs lack any depth in the striking position. Securing a lethal striker like Jiminez, to work with Kane could be a scary thought, the goal-scoring and play-making capabilities of Kane combined with the clinicality of Jiminez could be goals galore for Tottenham. Spurs aren't short of competition for the Wolves striker, If they do pursue they will l have to fend of Manchester United and Arsenal.
Likelihood: 4/10
Issa Diop:
With uncertainty over Jan Vertonghen's future, reports have surfaced from Footmercato over Jose Mourinho making contact with Diop's agent. The Hammer's centre-back stood out in his debut Premier League season, but has struggled to get going this campaign, only recently gaining some form before Covid-19 locked down the UK. Serge Aurier has apparently spoken to Diop recently, and now Diop seems intrigued by Jose's project with Tottenham according to the French Publication. Once again, Spurs aren't the only team linked, with The Mirror also commenting how Arsenal is a possible destination for Diop this summer. A fee of around £45M has been at the forefront of many reports, but this could significantly decrease with the financial impact on football from Covid-19, possibly urging West Ham to hold onto their defender.
Likelihood: 6/10
Fabio Silver:
Calciomercato have recently reported that Tottenham are interested in signing wonderkid Fabio Silva. The 17 year old plays as a striker, and has turned heads across Europe recently as his quality has earned him in a place in Porto's first team, scoring 3 goals already. Juventus are said to be one of the biggest names in the mix, but Tottenham have been added as the window edges closer. Goal have also reported he has had a staggering £105M release clause recently put into his contract amid interest, however with the current pandemic, Porto, if they wanted to cash in, would probably have to accept around half that amount. With Spurs rarely spending big, and looking even more likely to not splash the cash this summer due to Covid-19, these links may be a bit far fetched, however, the forward is one to keep an eye on and it will be interesting to see where he ends up; especially when he has been dubbed the next Ronaldo!
